The School of Social Welfare has developed community and training programs to build specialized knowledge with the broad local, regional and global community.
Our programs include:
- Continuing Education. The School of Social Welfare is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for NYS licensed social workers (#SW-0050).
- Child Welfare Training - To help Departments of Social Services (LDSS), Child Protective Services (CPS), and child welfare caseworkers and voluntary agencies achieve their staff development goals.
- Family Violence Center - The Center provides multi-disciplinary training, research, and policy analysis in the area of family violence.
- The Sayville Project - To provide comprehensive care management supports and services to adults with chronic physical and mental health conditions.
