Dr. Kathleen Monahan, Professor will be honored at a ceremony on October 27 by L.I. Against Domestic Violence. She is being recognized for her service and dedication to working with victims of abuse. Dr. Monahan's areas of expertise include bereavement, and the effects of childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, and severe trauma. She has provided therapy and clinical supervision/consultation in several domestic violence shelters on Long Island.
Dr. Monahan is a national and international lecturer on these topics and also serves as a clinical consultant, expert witness, and forensic consultant.
