The National Council of Phil Alpha Honor Society has granted membership privileges to the School of Social Welfare effective August 2015.
Phi Alpha is an honor society for social work students dedicated to excellence in scholarship and high professional standards. A ceremony for the 35 inaugural honorees representing BSW, MSW, and PhD students was held on May 17, 2016.
The honor society is under the directorship of Clinical Assistant Professor Stephen Rabeno and Undergraduate Program Director and Clinical Assistant Professor Suzanne Velazquez.
