On Thursday October 19, 2017, the 27th annual Commemoration Day was held at the H. Lee Dennison building in Hauppauge. Dr. Kathleen Monahan, delivered the keynote address, "The Enduring Effects of Trauma".
Commemoration Day is a day dedicated to remembering and honoring all people who have been affected by domestic violence and to promoting non-violence in Suffolk County. County Executive Steve Bellone delivered the welcome to the assembled group.
