Applications for admission are only accepted for the Fall semester; we admit once a year. For your reference and planning purposes, the deadlines are as follows: March 1 (priority application deadline, with an extended deadline of March 15 for supporting documents); May 1 (final deadline for submission of applications and supporting documents).
Applicants to the undergraduate program must have completed 57 credits with a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average, as well as having met general University requirements with a C or above (pre-requisite courses for applying to the Undergraduate program are listed here). Applicants to the graduate, MSW program must hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average for the Advanced Standing option. The Graduate Record Exam is not required for admission.
*43 percent of applicants to the MSW program are accepted; 45 percent are accepted to the BSW program. 95 percent of enrolled MSW students and 98 percent of enrolled BSW students complete the requirements for the degree. A survey of MSW graduates indicated that 90 percent of those responding to the questionnaire were employed in social work and 85 percent had obtained employment within three months of graduation.
