The School of Social Welfare was well represented at the 2017 Undergraduate Recognition Awards for Excellence and Outstanding Achievement ceremony on April 17, as six BSW students received awards of distinction. The Undergraduate Recognition Award is bestowed upon students who have made significant accomplishments above and beyond the requirements of their academic degree programs. With a maximum of just 100 University undergraduates receiving this award annually, the School of Social Welfare was in the top 3% of the entire undergraduate student body for the number of students receiving awards.
The award recipients were nominated by faculty, staff and graduate students and carefuly chosen by the URA selection committee for demonstrated excellence and participation in the classroom, in the community or on the athletic field.
