Platform Statement:
"As this year’s BSW representative, I had the opportunity to create and chair the Student Leadership Committee at NASW-NYS. This was the first time the state chapter formed an official committee specifically for students. As the chair, I built a coalition of students from all over the state and identified the various issues impacting us. We are also planning a virtual graduation celebration for the students this year to celebrate their accomplishments. Not only have I made efforts to connect students in NYS, but I also developed connections with social work students from California, Texas, and Michigan. Networking is essential to our academic and professional growth, and I hope to see NASW-NYS as a resource for all of us. As your future MSW representative, I hope to continue these efforts and expand this coalition of students beyond the state chapter and connect with students across the country".
