"Working during Covid has been very challenging. Not only was I sick with COVID, but a few family members were sick in the beginning of the pandemic. Returning to work and continuing my advocacy work was very difficult in this time of uncertainty. I tried my best to provide my patients and their families with the emotional support, reassurance and resources needed to help them cope, which was not easy, especially when you hear of patients losing multiple family members and they are thinking of their own mortality. The rewarding part is actually seeing my patients who had COVID being discharged after spending a few months in the hospital. With COVID on the rise, I am preparing myself once again for the challenges that lie ahead."
