Collaboration Yields OVPR Seed Grant Award for Two SSW Professors

Melissa L. Bessaha, PhD, LMSW, MA, Assistant Professor and Chair of the Families, Youth, & Transition to Adulthood Specialization and Miguel Munoz-Laboy, DrPH, Associate Professor, have been awarded an OVPR Seed Grant. The project is entitled, "Building a Network of Community Organizations and Local Health Agencies to Prevent Loneliness Among Recent Migrant Youth and Emerging Adults".

Research seed funding awards are competitively awarded and help faculty more successfully advance research proposals by pursuing new directions or collaborations in research, and other endeavors. 

Drs. Bessaha and Munoz-Laboy look forward to starting this important work!
