April 2016 - Carol Forgash, L.C.S.W., spoke about the therapuetic model of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to Dr. Kathleen Monahan's "Therapeutic Interventions with Trauma" class. The class is an advanced elective in the Trauma Specialization and reviews psychotherapeutic interventions that address trauma. EMDR is one of the therapeutic models accepted by the World Health Organization (2013) to address trauma. Ms. Forgash is a national and international presenter and is the past president of EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs, a not for profit, world-wide organization.
